2012 British Championships

On Sunday, 11th November 2012, the MF Kent family sent a team of 24 students from Mighty Matts – Adults to the 2012 British Championships in Stourbridge.

Everyone had been training really hard and the excitement was starting the bubble over as students started to register.

Over the course of the day there were tears, moments of drama, shouts of delight and plenty of personal bests.  By the end of the day the Team brought home a record 20 trophies!

This was an amazing result and I am very proud of everyone.  We went as a team and competed as a team and everyone had their part to play in preparing for this event.

A huge thank you for the tireless dedication and help from the Instructors and Junior Instructors and also from the ever passionate parents, families and friends.  Without all of you days like this would not be possible.

Well done to you all!

Reculver students perform school demo

Posted on: November 7th, 2012 by MFKent

Wednesday, 7th November saw both the Juniors & Mighty Matt students from Reculver Primary School perform an amazing demo in front of their school.

With over 400 children and staff watching they performed hand-drills, the kick-boxing drill, some amazing kicks and some self-defence – wowing the school!

To show such confidence, energy and pride in front of that many people was fantastic to see and I am very proud of you all.

Well done!

Congratulations to everyone that took part in the First Aid Training held in Chilham on Saturday, 20th October.

There were courses running for both U13yrs and adults and everyone that took part did exceptionally well. Applying bandages was on the agenda as I found out but it was all great fun!

Certificates will be presented in class shortly.
