Happy New Year & Welcome Back
Happy New Year to you all and welcome back to what will be an exciting and rewarding year of training. I hope you had a peaceful holiday period and are as excited as we are to get back into class and continuing on from where we left off in 2015.
We have lots of wonderful things planned for 2016 so keep your eyes on all social media platforms, the MF App and in class.
All classes re-start from 3rd January onwards and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Christmas Holiday shut-down
The festive period is upon us already so please make a note of our annual shut-down over this time:
- Last class before Christmas: Sunday, 20th December
- First class of 2016: Sunday, 3rd January
All classes leading up to and including 20th December will run as normal (exception of the Grading Day; 13th December).
On behalf of the entire MF Kent Team we would like to firstly congratulate all our wonderful students for yet another fantastic year, full of achievements and personal growth and secondly to wish each and every family a lovely holiday period.

Colour-belt Gradings & Master-classes
The last colour-belt Grading is soon upon us and everyone that is due to grade should have been tagged and given all the necessary instructions for this special day. There are still a few lessons left so keep working hard and enjoy the journey.
Here are the timings for the day:
- MM Grading – 10am
- MM Masterclass – 10-:45am
- JNR & ADLT Grading – 11:30am
- JNR & ADLT Masterclass – 12:30pm
Master-classes
The master-classes are FREE and open to each and every student, whether Grading or not. THESE MASTER-CLASSES WILL REPLACE THE NORMAL CLASSES IN CHILHAM & CANTERBURY
There will be no Chilham class or classes in Canterbury in the evening that day.
Staplehurst – 29th Oct
As usual, due to the school half term all of the classes will run from the Village Centre (North Hall) at the following times:
- Mighty Matts – 4:00pm
- Juniors – 4:30pm
- Seniors – 5:15pm

Light Up The City 2015
“Light Up The City” – Pilgrims Hospices
Saturday, 24th October 2015
Dane John Gardens, Canterbury
We are delighted to be helping and taking part in this year’s “Light Up The City” charity event to raise much needed funds and awareness for the Pilgrims Hospices.
You can register on-line and take part in either the 3km walk or 5km run.
This is an event for the entire family and a rare and unique chance to see the city at night – feel free to dress up.
We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible
Black Belt Presentations
We are delighted to announce the dates for our latest Black Belt Presentations:
Friday, 23rd October: Maidstone
Sunday, 25th October: Canterbury
These will be wonderful occasions where we will all be able to recognise the huge achievements, dedication and commitment of our fantastic new 1st Degree Black Belts.
The Maidstone presentations will take place at the end of the adult class and the Canterbury class will take place at the end of the junior class.

It is that time of year again already where we are gearing up for the British Championships to be held in Swindon.
This is a really exciting day for the whole family and each event the MF Kent Team have attended we have come home full of pride and huge personal achievements across the board.

Championship Team Training
We will be running FREE training for any students thinking of competing this year. Whether it is your first time or you are a seasoned professional these sessions are ideal practice for the big day (on top of your regular classes):

- Oct, 11th – 1015 – 1145hrs
- Oct, 18th – 1015– 1145hrs
- Nov, 1st – 1015 – 1145hrs
