REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – 30th April (Portsmouth)

We will be sending a team to the regional championships in Portsmouth this year (30th April) and will be starting to prepare for this in classes for those wishing to take part:

• Sunday, 30th April
• Mounbatten Leisure Centre, Portsmouth – MAP

This event is open to ALL AGES & BELT LEVELS and students can take part in (some categories are limited to age / belt groups):

• Hand-drills
• Kick-boxing drill
• Kicking combo (single & pairs)
• Forms (single & pairs)
• Sparring

We will be running 2 x extra training sessions to help prepare the team – CLICK HERE to book your space(s):

• Tuesday, 11th April (10:00-12:00pm)
• Sunday, 16th April (10:00-12:00pm)

Please let your instructor know that you are going so that we can tailor your training in class – this is very important. If you have any questions do speak to one of the instructing team.

All classes on Saturday, 25th March will be held at the PRIMARY SCHOOL (usual times) – CLICK HERE FOR MAP.

We will also be in the Primary School for Saturday, 1st April 2023.

​Due to the size of the hall we will not be able to welcome spectators, however there is plenty of viewing space through the windows should you wish.

GRADING REGISTRATION

Deadline to register: 23rd March 2023 (midnight)

For those students who have been invited to attend the grading on Sunday, 26th March in Canterbury, please note that the deadline to register is 23rd March 2023 (midnight).  This is for the colour-belt grading (white to blue belt incl.) and the panel grading (red-stripe and above only).

Students who have been invited have been awarded a black tag on their belt in class and received an e-mail / Whatsapp message.  All details for the grading day (location, times etc) are on the web page when you register.

We will send out an e-mail nearer the time to all those registered with further details of the day and a reminder of what to bring (which will include a reminder about bringing your black grading & licence book).

AUSTRLIA 2024

Tour Information Zoom – Sunday, 29th January

We are very excited to announce our plans to send a united team from England, Scotland, Ireland, N.Ireland & Wales to Australia in October 2024.  After numerous visits by the Australian team over the years it is time we returned the favour to take part in events there.

This trip is open to all students and family members of all ages and abilities.  Our goal is to take a large team of Instructors, students and family members to take part in some or all of the following events and spend time on the sunshine coast:

• Grading
• International Championships
• International Master Class & training day
• Black tie ball 

• As you can imagine this is a very exciting but huge undertaking and as part of that we plan to raise as much money as we can over the next 18-mths to ease as many of the financial limits as possible. This will be an amazing trip as well as an opportunity to challenge and grow as Martial Artists – learning from the very best that the Matt Fiddes Martial Arts global community has to offer. 2023 Exclusive Black Belt Training

& Higher Belt Training for Red-stripes – Deputy Blacks

We are very excited to announce the 2023 dates for the exclusive Black Belt training.  For those of you who have not attended one of these events, these are specific events for higher belts taught by Master Poplett (4th Dan), Master White (4th Dan) and myself.  Included in those dates is an event in CANTERBURY on 26th February. (BOOK NOW)
 
NEW FOR 2023 we are going to trial opening up the IMC events in Swindon and Southampton only to red-stripes and above for the first 2hrs only and then black belts will remain for the rest of the IMC.  All other venues (Canterbury, Warrington & Street) will remain exclusive to black belts only. 
 
All details can be found on the booking forms (please note that the booking for the new IMC events in Southampton & Swindon is slightly different to the normal IMC bookings for Kent, Warrington & Street).
